About This Course

The course examines the ways in which governments develop and implement policy to protect the environment within their borders. (Policy making at the international level is only addressed in so far as it influences domestic policy.) Primary attention is paid to the roles of the Canadian federal and provincial governments, with attention also paid to Canadian municipal and aboriginal environmental governance. US policy making is also discussed.
